Aim of the module:
To develop an understanding of the structure and function of the kidney.

Learning Outcomes:
• To be able to identify the key components of the kidney’s structure
• To be able to describe the processes of filtration, reabsorption and secretion and how
these affect the composition of urine
• To understand the key functions of the kidney.
