Learning and Development Module 2 - Chronic Kidney Disease

Aim of the module

To define the different Stages of Chronic Kidney Disease and the management of risks associated with
disease progression.

Learning outcomes

• To have a greater understanding of the risk factors associated with the different stages of
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
• To understand the diagnostic tests required to make a diagnosis, and the treatment options available to
patients presenting with CKD.
• To be able to discuss the signs ans symptoms of CKD, the stages of the disease, and disease progresion
in relation to treatment options.
